from March ~
I’m convinced I live like Hannah Montana.
Thursday night I worked until 9:30pm, then less than 24 hours later I was home in CT working as the content collector (photography and videography) at an event my parents planned. What a switch up!
I flew home Friday morning extremely early in the morning, and by the time I went to bed that night I had been awake for 24 hours. By the time I arrived to my house that morning, it was time for my little sister to be getting home and I surprised her as she walked in. I wasn’t expecting her to start crying but it made me get all teary eyed too, realizing that even though I don’t feel the difference in living away from my family, there’s an empty space in my house that my sisters see. Later that day I surprised the middle sister, and took a crash and burn nap before going to work!
I’m going to share some of the photos I took at the event because I am incredibly proud of them! Before that night I had never even held a camera that nice, but I felt like a pro at the end. It was so fun, and such a life that I can’t believe I live! Just my normal Friday night at home.
By the time we got back to the house it was 1:45, and I just decided to go for it and stayed up until I could call it a full day of being awake! Which of course, made me sleep in the next day until 12:30pm…
Somehow my sisters roped me into shopping with them (as I looked like a mess) and that’s essentially all I did until I went to their show later that evening! From the moment I walked in it was like I went back in time and saw everyone from high school. Many people actually commented on how much they loved my videos and content, which meant so much to me! I love knowing that someone is enjoying my crazy life.
One of the stage crew said that it looked like I never worked, to which I laughed. Little do they know I work a good 35-40 hours a week in the Disney college program! A couple people even joked about wanting to put in some coffee orders for all the lattes I have been creating! I felt so good knowing that someone was watching and paying attention to all the things I had been posting!
The show was incredible, I’m so proud of the whole cast (of course my sisters most of all), but it made me realize how much I miss performing. I just miss spending long hours dedicated to a specific song and dance and feeling so accomplished when it’s executed well on stage. I’m hoping I can find a community somewhere I’m able to do it again!
Saturday was also a late night, but I woke up at a decent time Sunday morning to grab coffee with one of my best friends, Gaby, and catch up for three hours. It’s a quad-annual event at this point! I really missed everyone and it felt good to catch up.
My boyfriend and I then went on an impromptu date and stopped by Playa Bowls before I had to go home, say bye to my family, and then head to the airport. Thankfully the flight wasn’t bad at all, but I have never been so tired!
All this to make me realize that the whole time I was in Connecticut I felt like a slight imposter and out of place. But it also felt like nothing had changed in the two months I had been gone. It was the oddest sensation. I wanted to go back to Florida so badly, but part of me wanted to stay. Living in two places at once is something I don’t think I enjoy! But I also desire to travel in the rest of my life, so I’ll have to get used to it!
Busiest but best weekend in awhile!
